16 Great Deals on Laptops, Cameras, and Video Games

Winter weather is on the way for most of the US this long weekend. I'm headed out into it because what says "beach weather" quite like snow? OK, maybe I am doing it wrong. If you're planning on hunting for a good deal, we've got you covered. We've found discounts on laptops, cameras, coffee makers, and games to help you while away the winter hours. Have a look.

Special offer for Gear readers: Get a 1-year subscription to WIRED for $5 ($25 off). This includes unlimited access to WIRED.com and our print magazine (if you'd like). Subscriptions help fund the work we do every day.

Laptops and PC Storage DealsApple 13-inch MacBook Pro (M1, 512-GB SSD) for $1,300 ($50 off)

While Apple's newest 14- and 16-inch MacBooks are the obvious choice for power users, the 13-inch model is still worth considering if your budget doesn't stretch that high. The model is a little more capable than the MacBook Air. (Read our guide to picking the right MacBook.) This deal gets you the larger storage space for the price of the entry-level model. The deal is also available at B&H Photo but ends at midnight on January 15.

Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 13-inch AMD Edition for $800 ($100 off)

The 13-inch AMD-based Surface Laptop 4 is my favorite configuration among the many Surface Laptop 4s (see our guide to buying a Surface for more details). This deal gets you 8 gigabytes of RAM and a 128-gigabyte SSD. It was $700 last November and December, but this is still a pretty solid discount.

Sabrent Rocket Nano 2-TB Portable SSD for $246 ($34 off)

We really like Sabrent's Rocket Nano SSD. It's tiny and plenty fast for everything from backups to storing large video files. It does get hot under heavy loads—like editing video directly from the drive—and it's sometimes slow to show up in Windows 10 (I haven't had this problem in Windows 11), but for on-the-go backups, transferring data, and surviving life on the road, it's hard to beat at this price. The 1-TB model is also on sale. Check out our Best Portable Storage Drives guide for other options.

SanDisk Ultra 1-TB NVMe Internal SSD for $90 ($50 off)

This is a budget internal SSD, meaning it's not very fast and isn't the best option for gamers or video editors, but it is still a solid upgrade if you're short on space. You install it directly onto the motherboard of your desktop PC.

Samsung Evo Select Plus 256-GB MicroSD Memory Card for $28 ($12 off)

This Samsung Evo is a bit faster than the more common green one (which is also often on sale). The extra speed will make your phone a little snappier retrieving files, but it's not quite fast enough for a digital camera (see below for a great camera storage card).

Camera DealsPanasonic Lumix S5 Mirrorless Camera for $1,700 ($300 off)

Our favorite full-frame video solution is currently on sale at its lowest price ever (the same price it dipped to during Black Friday in 2021). Check out our guide to the Best Mirrorless Cameras for more details on why we like the Lumix S5 so much.

GoPro Hero10 for $400 ($100 off)

GoPro has been running this deal since November, but the company recently added its new Enduro battery to sweeten the pot. I've been testing the Enduro for a few weeks now, and while the extra run time still depends on what type of video you're shooting, I can now reliably get about 35 to 40 minutes of 5K video out of a single Enduro battery. This deal does include a 1-year GoPro Subscription, so if you don't want that beyond the free year, be sure to set a reminder to cancel it.

Lexar 128-GB Professional UHS-II SDXC Memory Card for $130 ($50 off)

This is hands-down the best SD card I have used in a digital camera. There are a few out there that are marginally faster, but I've never had an issue with this Lexar, and it's proved very reliable. I don't want to jinx it, but I have two of these that are almost six years old and still work like new.

Home, Kitchen, and Ebike DealsEufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11S Max for $170 ($80 off)

The BoostIQ is an affordable, powerful robot vacuum. It's a couple years old and doesn't have an app like newer models, but it still gets the job done. It's small, uses bumper technology to clean around your home, and has a pretty good battery life. It's a great entry into the robot vacuum world.

Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Queen Mattress for $843 ($281 off)

If you need a new mattress, this is one of our favorites for fans of firm styles. It's a hybrid, so there's a combination of cooling gel foam, high-density foams, and individually wrapped coils, and you might like it if you deal with certain kinds of back pain. Read more about it in our Best Mattresses guide. We also rounded up other home and bedding deals earlier this week here.

Cuisinart 12-Cup Coffee Maker for $60 ($80 off)

If you like a good cup of coffee that's ready when you get up, this Cuisinart fits the bill. I had a very similar model and loved the ability to set the exact temperature I want my coffee brewed at.

Nutribullet 1000-Watt Blender for $40 ($60 off)

I've tested several Nutribullets now, though not this one, and found them to be solid blenders capable of handling everything from your basic smoothie to more challenging things like homemade nut butter. If you need a blender and don't want to spend a fortune, this deal fits the bill.

Gaming DealsThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition (Switch) for $30 ($30 off)

The WIRED staff loves The Witcher 3. One of us even calls it the best game of the decade. So go ahead, toss a coin to your Witcher.

Super Mario Maker 2 (Switch) for $42 ($18 off)

Dive into the world of user-created Mario with this deal on the game we called "a one-stop shop for getting absolutely wrecked by Mario levels."

Donkey Kong Country: Tropic Freeze (Switch) for $42 ($18 off)

It's been out for a while, but like most Nintendo games, it doesn't see discounts often. You get some classic Donkey Kong action here, but it's also for anyone who loves sidescrollers.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla (PS4/5) for $18 ($12 off)

This Assassin's Creed game is often on sale, but this price makes it a steal. It's long-winded with a meandering storyline, but raiding Saxon villages as a Viking in the Dark Ages makes up for it. It's a gorgeous game to look at, too.
