Kitchen Deals

★ KitchenAid Professional 5-Quart Stand Mixer for $220 ($210 off)

Best Buy

KitchenAid mixers are the stand mixer for home bakers. They're pricey, but they're multitaskers—you can cream butter, knead dough, even grind meat (with an attachment), and the KitchenAid will make quick work of it. What you're paying for is the motor, and it's a good one that might last for generations. Stock keeps fluctuating, so grab it fast if you see it available.

KitchenAid Cordless Hand Mixer for $70 ($30 off)

Amazon, Kohl's, Target ($82)

While a stand mixer can do much more, sometimes a hand mixer is easier to use when you need to whip up some egg whites or mix cookie dough. We haven't published a review of this exact model yet, but it's lightweight and there's no cord to get in your way, making it a good pick for cramped kitchens.

Anova Precision Cooker Pro Sous Vide for $200 ($200 off)

Sur La Table, Anova, Amazon (Out of Stock)

Next year, use a sous vide wand on your Thanksgiving turkey. We have not tested this exact model, but we loved two earlier versions (both the predecessor to the Pro and the Anova Nano, which is also on sale for $99 ($30 off). It's less powerful but more compact.

Instant Pot Duo 8-Quart 9-in-1 Multi-Cooker for $80 ($40 off)

Amazon, Walmart (Out of Stock)

What would a kitchen deals post be without an Instant Pot? The perpetually on sale Instant Pot is a good, reasonably priced entry point to the world of pressure cooking. This model has nine different functions, from cooking rice to making yogurt. It's big enough for family meals, and the end results will be just as tasty as on the more expensive models.

★ Thermapen One Instant Read Thermometer for $84 ($21 off)

ThermoWorks

ThermoWorks’ Thermapen series thermometers are the Cadillacs of the instant-read thermometer world. They’re not cheap, but they're reliable, simple to use, and last forever. I’ve been using mine for years and it’s every bit as good as the day it arrived. The One is accurate to ±0.5 degrees Fahrenheit and takes one second to read the temp. Note that Thermapen doesn’t sell on Amazon and we suggest avoiding any Thermapens (or knock-offs) you see there.

Primula Burke Cold Brew Coffee Maker for $14 ($4 off)

Amazon

Primula's Burke immersion brewer is our favorite cold-brew coffee maker. It's durable, cheap, and makes about 32 ounces of coffee at a time. Just pop your coarse grounds into the mesh basket, snap it into place, slowly pour water through it, and come back 24 hours later to delightfully smooth, flavorful iced coffee without too much bitterness.

Subminimal NanoFoamer for $29 ($10 off)—Discount at Checkout

Subminimal

If all you want is frothy milk for your hot matcha or your iced coffee, there's no need to spend a fortune on a fancy espresso machine. What you want is a milk frother, but the problem is most of them suck. The Nanofoamer uses two distinct screens—one for fine-textured milk and another for ultrafine-textured milk—to get around the problems of typical frothers, namely the overly stiff whipped foam. The Nanofoamer is the closest we've come to replicating the froth and foam of a steam wand.

Blackstone ProSeries 2-Burner 22-Inch Propane Griddle for $174 ($100 off)

Walmart

This is the larger, standalone version of the tabletop Blackstone Griddle that's in our Best Camping Stoves guide. With two burners capable of putting out 24,000 BTUs, and 362 square-inches of cooking surface, you can whip up some “scattered, smothered, and covereds” for a crowd.

★ Vitamix 5200 Blender for $279 ($171 off)

Amazon

This is an incredible deal and it won't last, but while it does, grab one. There are blenders, and then there are Vitamix blenders. I was a skeptic, but like my fellow Gear reviewer Joe Ray, the Vitamix made me a blender person. A blender is, essentially, just a blade atop a motor. Everything else just gets in the way. The motor is why the Vitamix is so good. And yes, the Vitamix is expensive, but it's worth it.

Nutribullet Personal Blender for $42 ($8 off)

Amazon

If you think of a blender as a smoothie-making machine, this is the blender you want. It's not an earthshaking deal, but the Nutribullet is the perfect single-serving smoothie maker, and the blending container doubles as your glass, so you can blend and go.

Tea Spot Mountain Tea Tumbler for $21 ($10 off)—Use Promo Code

The Tea Spot (Enter CYBERTEA at Checkout)

One of our favorite tea shops is having a site-wide sale. I'm especially fond of this tumbler, which serves as a brewer and keeps your tea hot for several hours. The deal also nets you three tea samples. You'll also get free shipping (unless you're in Alaska or Hawaii).

Ember Temperature Control Smart Mug for $100 ($30 off)

Best Buy

I know what you're thinking, a hundred dollar mug? But hear us out. If you're a coffee addict this mug might change your game. It keeps your coffee hot for hours on end without scalding it thanks to a built-in heating element. It also leaves enough room for you to taste the flavors of the coffee rather than simply broiling your taste buds.

Ooni Karu 12 Multi-Fuel Pizza Oven for $319 ($80 off)

Williams-Sonoma, Ooni

Want to throw a backyard pie party? Ooni's pizza ovens are the best we've tried. They're all on sale, so it's worth browsing the site on your own, but we think the best deal is the Karu 12 multi-fuel oven. It gives you the flexibility to use wood or charcoal when the flavor is key, or switch to gas for those times you need a pie in a hurry.

Solo Ranger Fire Pit for $180 ($90 off)

Solo

Take the kitchen outdoors with Solo's Ranger fire pit. We love the Solo Yukon, but it's pretty big. This cheaper model offers the same well-contained (and smokeless) fire pit experience, just smaller. It's perfect for roasting marshmallows after a nice barbecue.

Fly by Jing Sichuan Chili Crisp for $12 ($3 off)

Fly by Jing

Fly by Jing's Sichuan Chili Crisp is hard to describe. It's spicy but not too spicy. It's oily but not too oily. It's smoky, it's savory, and there are tiny, crunchy bits of chili that add an interesting texture. It goes well with noodles, soup, pizza, and eggs, but some online testimonials swear that the sauce even pairs well with peanut butter or ice cream. WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu loves it.

Cuisinart Bread Maker for $90 ($40 off)

Amazon

We haven't tested this one extensively, but a good friend of mine has one and I can vouch for the fact that she makes delicious bread. It's got plenty of controls, from crust darkness to type of bread, you can dial everything in just the way you want it. My only hesitation would be the size; this thing is not small so make sure you have some room to stash it when you're not using it.

Kamenoko Tawashi Cleaning Tool for $5.40 ($3.60 off)

Umami Mart

Cooking is all fun and games, but someone has to clean up too. Make their (or your) life easier with this ingenious scrubber from Japan. I have a few because they're great for cleaning other things too—muddy boots, the kitchen sink, even burnt caramel—and it usually doesn't leave scratch marks. (That said, always test in an inconspicuous place first.)

Kiriko 20 Percent off site wide with code CYBERMONDAY2021

Kiriko

Kiriko is a small Portland, Orgeon company specializing in curated home goods and vintage Japanese textiles. They have some gorgeous Japanese knives on sale, like this Zuiun, Petty Knife. There's also some nice tableware and furoshiki. Enter code CYBERMONDAY2021 for 20 percent off of your entire order.
