The Best Cyber Monday Deals on Fitness, and Outdoor Gear

You may want to start the new year with fun outdoor adventures or a more streamlined fitness program. Cyber Monday has you covered, so you don't need to empty your account in order to do so. Some of our favorite fitness and outdoors items are discounted, and we've rounded them up below.

Famously, REI sits out Cyber Week with its #OptOutside campaign, but there are still plenty of deals on outdoors gear to be had. Backcountry is offering a coupon for 20 percent off one full-price item for those who sign up for its free loyalty program, and although Moosejaw is live with its own Cyber Monday sale, the company will give you a gift card on qualifying purchases of full-priced items.

WIRED's Cyber Monday CoverageFINAL UPDATE: Cyber Monday is over. Read 250+ Best Cyber Monday Deals You Can Still Get Now (as of November 30) for more deals. Fitness and Health Deals

Head over to our Best Fitness Trackers and Best Trail Running Shoe guides for more of our favorite gear recommendations for your home gym.

Peloton Bike+ for $2,145 ($350 off)

The Bike+ adds to the base Bike model by offering a 23.8-inch touchscreen that swivels 360 degrees and four-channel audio, plus it syncs with Apple GymKit. It also fits in only a 4 by 2-foot space. You also get a free two-month trial of the Peloton app, which normally costs $13 a month. Note that this is the bike and not the treadmill that saw an (eventual) recall after child injuries and a death.

25 Percent off Sitewide at Gaiam

Yoga doesn't have to be equipment-intensive, but if you're tired of using a beach towel for a mat and restrictive soccer pants for yoga clothes, check out Gaiam's full lineup of yoga mats, blocks, straps, clothing, and other accessories. Check out my guide to setting up a yoga space in your home for tips on why you'd want to use yoga blocks and straps.

NordicTrack Commercial X22i Treadmill for $2,799 ($200 off)

NordicTrack

Fitness doesn't always come cheap, but this big, bold, and beautiful treadmill scored 8/10 in our review, and the subscription is more affordable than a gym. It has a large, immersive touchscreen that rotates and iFit integration, but you will need plenty of space to accommodate it in your home.

Withings Sleep Tracking Mat for $69 ($30 off)

If you dread the idea of trying to fall sleep with a smartwatch strapped to your wrist, check out this mat that slides underneath your mattress. During the night, it'll track your sleep cycles, heart rate, and snoring so that in the morning you can read an analysis of that night's sleep quality.

Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Smartwatch for $200 ($50 off)

Target, Samsung, Best Buy

The 40-mm Samsung Galaxy Watch4 (7/10, WIRED Recommends) has mostly sold for $250 since it was released in late summer. The price has fallen to $200 a couple of times, but not lower. It's the best smartwatch for Android phone owners. We like its bright display, intuitive fitness tracking, and comfortable styling. Note that it is not compatible with iOS devices, and the electrocardiogram only works with Samsung phones.

Apple Watch Series 7 Smartwatch for $380 ($20 off)

Released just a month ago, the new Apple Watch Series 7 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is the Best Smartwatch for iPhone owners. A $20 discount is borderline insulting, but should you be in the market, it's better to save twenty bucks than zero bucks.

Apple Watch Series 6 for $299 ($100 off)

Amazon, Walmart

You don't have to sacrifice much with the Apple Watch Series 6, and you score a much bigger discount. This is a feature-packed smartwatch that will track your activity and sleep, keep you in touch, and run various apps. It also has an Sp02 sensor for blood oxygen monitoring and can take ECGs.

Apple Watch SE Smartwatch for $220 ($60 off)

Target, Amazon, Best Buy

This is the Best Apple Watch for most people. It's good for kids, teens, grandparents, and everyone in between. Aside from being the most affordable option that works with Family Setup, the SE has lots of features folks look for in an Apple Watch, like fall detection and those addictive activity rings. This Cyber Monday deal is one of the best we've ever tracked. Read our Apple Watch Buying Guide for more help picking the right model.

Garmin Forerunner 245 HR Fitness Tracker for $200 ($100 off)

REI, Moosejaw, Backcountry

Senior associate reviews editor Adrienne So considers Garmin's Forerunner series the best smartwatches for runners in her guide to the best fitness trackers. The Forerunner 245 HR has built-in GPS for tracking your runs, and the battery will last up to seven days between charges.

Skagen Men's Hybrid HR Jorn Smartwatch for $137 ($58 off)

This is the best price yet for the best hybrid smartwatch. It looks like a traditional watch but provides helpful insight into heart rate data, weather, and step counts at a glance thanks to the E Ink display. A single charge lasts for an entire week. Think of the Jorn less like a fitness tracker and more like a typical watch with some added health statistics. When it comes to tracking workout specifics, other smartwatches will be a better fit.

Fitbit Charge 5 Fitness Tracker for $130 ($50 off)

Target, Amazon, Best Buy

This is WIRED's favorite fitness tracker. The Charge 5 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) strikes an incredible balance between features and price. It can seemingly track it all, from stress to sleep, and the bright AMOLED display and long battery life are icing on the cake. The Fitbit Charge 4, our previous top pick, is also on sale at an appealing $69 ($80 off). But really, the Charge 5 (or another newer tracker) gets you much better value.

Garmin Venu Sq Smartwatch for $130 ($70 off)

Target, Amazon

Garmin's relatively new Venu Sq edged out the long-reigning champ—the Fitbit Versa—as our recommended upper-entry-level fitness tracker in the $200 part of the market. It scored an 8/10 and snagged a WIRED Recommends award for its rich feature list, including incident detection, sleep tracking, and blood oxygen monitoring.

Withings Steel HR Smartwatch for $120 ($60 off)

The Steel HR's rechargeable battery lasts over a month between top-ups. This price matches a low we've seen only a couple of other times. Perhaps the best part of this smartwatch is how little it looks like a smartwatch. The simple interface can show data like steps taken or distance traveled at a glance, while the smartphone app provides more in-depth insight. The Steel HR was mentioned in WIRED's guide to the Best Fitness Trackers.

Withings BPM Connect Blood Pressure Monitor for $70 ($30 off)

Best Buy, Withings

We have not seen a better deal on our favorite blood pressure monitor. The BPM Connect can be used to check blood pressure with or without a smartphone. It's easy to use and portable, with a simple measurement process that takes less than a minute.

GoPro Hero10 Black Action Camera for $350 ($150 off)

GoPro, Amazon ($450), Best Buy ($450), REI ($450)

The GoPro Hero10 Black (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is the best action camera. It has amazing image stabilization, which is crucial—and often lacking—in an action camera. It can shoot smooth, level, clear footage in 5.3K, and there's a new hydrophobic lens cover that keeps snow and water off the lens to make the action even better-looking. It was released in September and the price fell $50 in early November. Shopping through GoPro directly saves you an extra hundred bucks.

Insta360 One R Twin Edition Action Camera for $408 ($72 off)

Amazon, Insta360

We recommend this in our guide to the Best Action Cameras. Part action cam, part 360-degree cam, the One R Twin Edition (8/10, WIRED Recommends) gets users the best of both worlds. It comes with interchangeable lenses, and AI-powered editing makes for simple post-production. It hasn't fallen this low in price since last year's holiday shopping season.

Peak Design Travel Tripod for $315 ($35 off)

Peak Design, Amazon (Sold Out)

The Peak Design Cyber Monday Sale is worth checking out for anyone that loves good camera-oriented gear. This aluminum travel tripod weighs just over three pounds and packs down to about the size of a water bottle. Once extended, it has a maximum height of 60 inches with a maximum weight capacity of 20 pounds. The tripod may be travel-friendly, but it still has the features most people need. Peak Design gear doesn't see frequent discounts.

Theragun Elite Massage Device for $300 ($100 off)

Target, Amazon (Expired), Therabody, Verishop

This luxe massage gun is still expensive, but it doesn't go on sale very often. There are a lot of Therabody devices out there. The Elite is the quietest and best. This discount is part of a bigger Theragun Cyber Monday sale.

Theragun Wave Roller for $100 ($50 off)

Target, Therabody, Verishop

Part percussive device, part foam roller, the Wave is good for general workout recovery or muscle relaxation. For more affordable Theragun products designed to pinpoint specific areas, the Solo for $59 ($20 off) or Duo for $79 ($20 off) might be better options. Read more about them here.

SKG F5 Massage Gun for $59 ($70 off)

(Click the Coupon Button)

When it comes to price, the SKG F5 is a fantastic massage device that delivers heat as well as percussive therapy. There are three attachments and three intensity levels. It goes on sale all the time, but we have not seen it sell for less than this.

Sportneer Elite D9 Massage Gun for $110 ($20 off)

The Elite D9 has arguably too many intensity levels and attachments, but for those interested in truly customizing muscle therapy day to day, it may be the best choice. This price is the best WIRED has tracked since last April.

Upright Go 2 for $60 ($20 off)

Amazon, Best Buy

Stop slouching! Did that make you sit up straight? Well, this device (8/10, WIRED Recommends) might actually help improve your posture. It sticks to your back via an adhesive strip (or a necklace) and it vibrates when your back reaches a specific angle you calibrate in the companion app (kind of like a shock band, minus the shocking part). WIRED reviewer Medea Giordano says it's the only device that's made her think about her posture even when she's not wearing it.

Eufy Smart Scale C1 for $18 ($22 off)

Amazon (Prime Members Click Coupon Button)

Capable of delivering up to 12 measurements about your body, the Eufy Smart Scale C1 appears in our best smart scales guide. You need to use the EufyLife app and connect your phone via Bluetooth is you want more than a simple weight readout, but it's easy to set up. It also boasts an elegant design and works swiftly compared to other scales we tested.

Bikes and Bike Accessories

Biking can be gear-intensive, especially if you use your machine as a commuter or an errand-runner. Check out our guides to the Best Bike Locks, Best Bike Accessories, and Best Ebikes.

★ Propella 7-Speed (V4) Ebike for $1,299 ($100 off)

The Propella is my favorite budget ebike of all those I've tested at WIRED. The components are quality, the bike weighs a svelte 37 pounds—that's light for an ebike—and its looks don't scream “ebike.” Associate reviews editor Parker Hall awarded it an 8/10 and a WIRED Recommends award in his review of the very similar V3.2 model last year.

★ Wing Freedom 2 Ebike for $910 ($389 off)

I gave the more expensive Freedom X model a 7/10 in my review for its good looks, stronger-than-typical acceleration, and low 39-pound weight. The Freedom 2 has all those things minus the so-so torque sensor and integrated LCD display. They're both good models, but between the two I recommend you save $200 and go for the Freedom 2.

Lectric XP 2.0 Ebike Bundle for $949 ($50 off)

The Lectric XP is the Best Affordable Electric Bike. When we reviewed the original (7/10, WIRED Recommends), we commended its smooth ride and solid range. The discounted 2.0 has an even smoother ride, wider handlebars, and generally improved comfort, plus baked-in water resistance. This bike is heavy, but the deal is great, especially since it includes a premium headlight, bike lock, and a few other accessories.

Apollo Ghost Scooter + Apollo Air Pro Scooter Bundle for $1,699 ($699 off)

The Apollo Ghost (8/10, WIRED Recommends) usually costs $1,699, so this deal nets you a free Apollo Air free. Reviews editor Julian Chokkattu loves the Ghost for its speed and power. The Air Pro won't go as fast and suffers from a much-limited range, but it's still a solid entry-level e-scooter. The Apollo Ghost is also discounted on its own for $1,399 ($200 off).

Nutcase Street Helmet for $64 ($16 off)

REI (Select Colors are $60), Nutcase

The Street is a sharp-looking helmet for those who don't want to look like a weekend racer. Many of Nutcase's helmets now come with MIPS (multi-directional impact system). It's a liner inside the helmet that allows some rotation to absorb energy and reduce the risk of rotational brain injuries. The Nutcase Vio is also $120 ($30 off). It has 360 degrees of LED light coverage for those of you who don't have (or want) to mount bike headlamps and tail lamps.

15 Percent off Sitewide at Arkel

Arkel has a full range of bags that mount to pannier racks, from the laptop-carrying Commuter to the grocery-getter Shopper. All of them utilize Arkel's excellent attachment system that keeps the bag from shifting and flopping around during rides. These Canadian-made bags are pricey, so take advantage of this rare sale.

Camping and Hiking Deals

Swing by our wide range of hiking and camping guides, such as All the Gear You Need to Start Hiking, Best Camp Stoves, Best Tents, and a Gift Guide for Outdoorsy People.

Solo Stove Bonfire Pit for $225 ($125 off)

Solo Stove

Towering chunks of wood on a bonfire are a lot of fun, but finding a lot of dry wood takes a serious time commitment. The smokeless Solo Stove requires less wood than an open bonfire and burns more completely, and it lets fewer sparks go astray, which is an important consideration if you're setting it up in a backyard or a forested campsite. Associate reviews editor Parker Hall fell in love with the larger Yukon model.

Solo Ranger Firepit for $180 ($90 off)

Solo, Bed Bath & Beyond ($195)

This smaller, cheaper model offers the same, well contained firepit experience as the Solo Yukon firepit (7/10, WIRED Review), just smaller. It’s perfect for roasting marshmallows after a nice barbecue.

Biolite FirePit+ for $187 ($62 off)

REI, Amazon, Biolite

This isn't just a fire pit. It's also a grill. But it's not just a grill, either! It can charge your phone. And it has a fan that you can control with an app on your phone using a Bluetooth connection. This model made our best portable grills. We reviewed the previous version and found it light, portable, and easy to clean.

★ MSR WhisperLite Stove for $75 ($25 off)

Moosejaw, Backcountry ($85)

Canister stoves might have the market corned on ease of use, but liquid-fuel white gas stoves like the WhisperLite offer the most versatility, especially internationally, where isobutane canisters are less available. The WhisperLite is a quieter (but not super quiet) version of MSR's venerable, dependable camp stove.

Hydro Flask: 25 Percent off Site-Wide

You can get a wide range of bottles, tumblers, and travel mugs at Hydro Flask. The brand pops up in our best reusable water bottles and best travel mugs guides, as they are generally tough and don't leak.

MSR Titan Kettle for $51 ($9 off)

Titanium is both a stalwart and, because of its often high price, a punchline in the hiking community. For around $50 though, this deal on MSR's Titan Kettle brings lightweight cooking equipment within the range of slightly cheaper (but heavier) steel. The Titan Kettle is a wee bit thicker and sturdier than the (also fantastic) competitors Evernew and Toaks.

ENO DoubleNest Hammock for $52 ($18 off)

Amazon, REI

Tie up for a rest during a day hike, take a snooze between two trees in your backyard, or spend a night outdoors under the clear sky. This two-person nylon hammock weighs only 19 ounces, but it supports up to 400 combined pounds of snugglin'. This is also a pick in our stress relief gift guide.

Wandrd Fernweh Backpacking Camera Bag for $244 ($105 off)

B&H, Wandrd (Add code BF5OFF for extra 5 percent off at checkout)

The Fernweh is the best camera backpack for hiking. The whopping 50-liter capacity can fit everything and the kitchen sink, probably. You may find yourself overwhelmed by all of the straps, zippers, and compartments, but you won't be overwhelmed due to a lack of storage space. We've never seen it at a lower price. We recommend pairing it with the Essential Photo Bundle for storing your camera equipment (available at Wandrd's website).

10 Percent Off at Hyperlite

Hyperlite (Enter FROMAWAY at Checkout)

These high-end packs are growing increasingly popular. They are made from waterproof Dyneema, they're highly customizable, and they're expensive, but if you're willing to pay for the best, this is it.

Therm-a-Rest Inflatable Sleeping Pad for $112 ($118 off)

Moosejaw, Backcountry

Sleeping directly on the ground, even when it's relatively warm out, can siphon a lot of your body heat away. You almost always want a sleeping pad underneath your sleeping bag to keep you from getting chilled. And besides, rocks and roots are uncomfortable. The NeoAir XLite is one of the most common inflatable pads, and barring any abuse it should last for years.

Brevite The Jumper Camera Backpack for $117 ($33 off)

Moment, Brevite

This is our favorite everyday camera backpack, as seen in our guide to the Best Camera Bags. The compact and lightweight design features customizable internal dividers for organizing gear, plus a dedicated laptop sleeve and quick side access. The bag is available in a wide array of colors.

Garmin inReach Mini Satellite Messenger for $300 ($50 off)

If you like to roam far off the beaten track, but always know where you are and have the option to send a message home,  you may need a satellite messenger. This one made our best satellite messengers because it is tiny and lightweight, uses the super-fast Iridium satellite network, and allows waypoint creation and interval tracking.

Kinship Self Reflect Zinc Oxide SPF 32 for $19 ($6 off)

Kinship (Discount Applied at Checkout)

This sunscreen is a WIRED staffer favorite. The shimmery solution doesn't leave a white cast behind. It's lightweight and absorbs quickly. Other Kinship products are 20 percent off, too. The discount is shown during checkout.

30 Percent off at Peak Design

Peak Design is offering 10 percent off all bags, pouches, and tripods; 15 percent off straps; and 30 percent off select other gear. The Everyday Sling ($135) snagged best overall bag in our guide to the best messenger bags and crossbody bags thanks to its comfortable strap and variety of stash pockets.

★ Big Agnes 3-Person Tent for $400 ($100 off)

Backcountry (Sold Out)

Big Agnes is one of the big names in lightweight tents, and the company has honed in on a perennial favorite with the Copper Spur. Senior reviewer Scott Gilbertson gave it high marks in his guide to the best camping tents. This three-person version weighs a svelte 3 pounds and 8 ounces, which is less than a lot of mainstream two-person tents.

Clothing and Apparel Deals

Outdoor clothing can be tricky to figure out, with conflicting advice coming from all corners of the internet, so while you're here, take a look at our guides on How to Layer Outdoor Clothing, Best Baselayers, and Best Rain Jackets.

Mountain Hardwear Canyon Shirt for $49 ($16 off)

Men's Sizing, Women's Sizing ($36)

For hot environments, I favor a loose button-down shirt over a T-shirt because it vents better and the collar protects the neck. The Canyon's SPF 50-equivalent fabric protected me on a four-day hike through Big Bend National Park where 95-degree temperatures in the full sun tried (and failed) to roast me. For more ideas, check out our guide to the Best Everyday Sun Protection.

Fjallraven Singi Down Jacket for $480 ($120 off)

REI (Men's), Backcountry (Men's), Backcountry (Women's), Moosejaw (Men's), Moosejaw (Women's)

This very, very warm, water-resistant parka sports tough build quality and is rarely on sale at a discount. You could wear nothing but a T-shirt underneath it and still sweat during a walk in sub-freezing temperatures, so if you're braving the extreme cold it may be just what you need.

Marmot PreCip Eco Rain Jacket for $70 ($30 off)

Women's Sizing, Men's Sizing

The PreCip range has been around for a couple of decades. Marmot nailed the design years ago and has only had to tweak it since then, like including pit zips and a drawstring-adjustable hem. Senior associate reviews editor Adrienne So gave the PreCip Eco a favorable review in her round-up of the Best Rain Jackets.

Black Diamond Guide Gloves for $127 ($53 off)

Moosejaw, REI ($135), Backcountry ($135)

These heavy-duty gloves from Black Diamond are professional-grade ski gloves that provide some serious insulation for your hands without making it completely impossible to do anything. They have waterproof Gore-Tex inserts, wool and fleece lining, and goat leather palms.

SmartWool Liner Gloves for $13 ($11 off)

Steep & Cheap, Backcountry ($18)

Sometimes you don't need a whole new glove—just a little extra warmth on a particularly long day in the cold. These liners slip inside a larger pair of gloves to boost their toastiness, and the merino wool keeps insulating even if you get them wet from throwing snowballs.

Girlfriend Collective Compressive High-Rise Leggings for $55 ($23 off)

(Discount Applied at Checkout)

These comfortable leggings are available in a wide variety of sizes and colorfast hues. They don't get loose throughout the day, and the high, wide waistband fits closely without causing discomfort. We recommended them in our guides to the Best Loungewear and the Best Recycled Products.

Adidas Period-Proof Training Tights for $44 ($21 off)

(Use Code CYBERDEAL at Checkout)

Reviewer Medea Giordano loves Adidas' Period-Proof Shorts. These tights feature the same technology, but in a more seasonally appropriate form. They are meant for backup, so it's best to use them on very light days or in conjunction with another menstrual product. Find more menstrual product recommendations here.
