Mattress Deals

When it comes to mattresses, the rule to live by is to never pay full price. No matter the time of year, there's always a sale coming up. List prices are set artificially high so that deals seem extravagant, but they aren't. We've handpicked the best deals below, but our Best Mattresses guide has more options and detailed explanations of hybrid versus all-foam.

★ Top Pick: Helix Midnight Luxe Hybrid Mattress for $1,799 ($300 off)—Use Code CYBERMON300

This is our favorite mattress, and it's the one you should get if money is no object. This is the same price it was during its Memorial Day sale and $50 more than Black Friday 2021 (the base price has risen). It lives up to its Luxe name and is plush and cushiony on top, but it still has a medium-firm feel that's good for all sleeping positions. The amount of money off depends on the size you choose. Click the view offer button on the top of the website to see exactly how much, and which code you'll need to apply at checkout. Each mattress order comes with two pillows.

Leesa Sapira Hybrid Mattress for $1,349 ($550 off)AmazonTarget ($1,699)Leesa ($1,699)

Investing in a good mattress can make a world of difference in relieving back pain and improving your overall sleep quality. The first mattress I (Haley) ever bought as an adult was a Leesa Sapira Hybrid. It gave me plenty of support, was soft enough, and felt way more luxurious than the hand-me-down mattresses of my youth. Former WIRED editor, Jeffrey Van Camp went as far as to say this was one of “the best mattresses on the market.”

Casper Hybrid Mattress for $1,271 ($250 off)AmazonTargetCasper

Don't want to spend quite as much money as the Helix? Casper is an all-around great option if you're not sure what mattress to buy. It's what our reviewer called “as close to a default as beds come.” You'll get soft support, better breathability, and edge support than on an all-foam mattress.

Casper Standard Mattress for $971 ($324 off)AmazonCasper

While we like Casper's Hybrid Mattress the best out of their selection, the Standard Mattress is a fine foam choice for less. We found it to be plenty comfortable in our tests, but we just prefer the added support of coils at the end of the day. If you're an all-foam fiend, this is definitely a good deal for you.

Layla Two-Sided Foam Mattress for $889 ($60 off)

You know those jackets you can buy that are reversible? Well, that's what this Layla is, except it's a  mattress. You can flip this two-sided foam mattress if you feel like a night's sleep on a soft or firm surface. It's a nice way to get a feel for both types without having to make a trip to the store. Or maybe you just prefer switching things up every now and then.

Tuft & Needle Mint Mattress for $1,197 ($398 off)Tuft & NeedleNordstrom ($1,186, King)

This mattress is ideal if you need pressure relief to sleep better at night. You'll sink into its top layer of adaptive foam, it does feel supportive. There's green ceramic gel foam to dissipate heat, and it manages to maintain its shape, so there won't be a person-shaped outline the next night.

Molecule Hybrid Mattress for $1,234 ($783 off)—Use Code BFCM22

Enter code BFCM22 at checkout to see the discount. I've enjoyed sleeping on this comfy mattress. It isn't perfect—there's not much edge support at the foot of the bed, though the other three sides are fine. You get two free pillows with your order.

Nectar Sleep Memory Foam Mattress for $669 ($330 off)

Does the thought of spending over a grand on a bed keep you up at night? Well, this is a solid deal. The Nectar mattress is a good option for side sleepers. Its MSRP is $999 but we usually see it dip to $799, so this is indeed a real discount. It's an all-foam bed, not a hybrid, but it's just cushy enough—it sinks in, but doesn't swallow you up. If you want to add two pillows, sheets, and a mattress protector, you'll need to add the accessories on offer for $99.

Weighted Blanket Deals

Our Best Weighted Blankets guide breaks down weights and sizes and has more picks.

Yaasa 15-Pound Weighted Blanket for $199 ($50 off)

Yaasa's weighted blanket is expensive and rarely discounted, but it's our favorite if you like a stiff, heavy blanket. The open-knit design is pretty and allows air to circulate if you're a hot sleeper like me. It feels so much heavier than other options too (this is a good thing!). You can get it in 15- or 20-pound sizes.

Basics by Gravity Blanket for $50 ($30 off)—Click the Coupon ButtonAmazon (Click the Coupon)Gravity ($55)

Gravity might be the best-known weighted blanket company, and this blanket is its first affordable version. It left nothing to be desired—I loved sleeping with it. It's 15 pounds and the perfect size for one person to enjoy without annoying their partner. It's machine washable, but there are a few cover options too. If you buy the blanket from Amazon, there's an additional 10 percent off discount on the page.

Brooklinen Weighted Throw Blanket for $127 ($42 off)—Click the CouponAmazon (Click the Coupon)Brooklinen

You can get a great blanket for less with the Gravity option above, but Brooklinen's is beautiful, especially in the terracotta and dark green colors. It's a nice 12 pounds, with a satisfyingly textured side and a smooth cotton side.

Baloo Weighted Throw Blanket for $125 ($54 off)—Use Code GIFT30

The discount is automatically applied at checkout. Baloo's throw is slightly smaller than Brooklinen's, so it might be better for solo sleepers (or if your partner doesn't like weighted blankets). It's a crispy cool cotton, and there are linen duvet covers available in some really beautiful colors. The blanket can be machine-washed and dried too.

Sound Machine and Sleep Tech Deals

You can find more recommendations in our Best Sound Machines guide.

Dreamegg D11 Portable Sound Machine for $20 ($10 off)

I love this little sound machine. It's marketed for babies, and it works great for them (especially the shhhh sound), but it's great for anyone who wants portability or simply a tiny machine that won't take up too much space. There are 11 sounds packed into this tiny round body, including a busy restaurant-like muffled chatter, and you can let it run continuously or on one of three timers (30, 60, or 90 minutes). The swirl can work as a night light too.

Hatch Restore Sound Machine for $105 ($25 off)—Click the Coupon

Click the coupon button on the page to see the discount at checkout. If you want a sound machine and a sunrise alarm (plus a digital clock!), Hatch hits the mark here. Using the app, you can program your basic morning and night routines, and select your alarm and sleep sounds. It's still pricey even with this discount. Subscribing to the Hatch Sleep Membership gets you a changing library of sounds, stories, and meditations, but it's not required.

Hatch Rest Sound Machine (2nd Gen) for $60 ($10 off)—Click the Coupon

Click the coupon button on the page to see the discount at checkout. This version of the Hatch is meant for babies, but anyone can use it. It has child-specific features, namely the time-to-rest and time-to-rise lights. It's good for early risers to not annoy their parents on their one and only day to sleep in, but it could also be helpful for adults who need reminding to put down their phones and take a second to get into sleep mode. Using the app, you can customize colors and cycle through sounds. The second-gen version uses Wi-Fi instead of Bluetooth.

Morphée Sleep Meditation Box for $75 ($25 off)

I really like Morphée products. They're thoughtfully made and screenless. You can get a basic sound machine for cheaper, but this one adds meditations too. You can go from crackling fireplace sounds to meditative sessions designed for falling into a deep sleep. The downside is you can only choose between playing for 8 or 20 minutes; I wish it played sounds continuously.

My Little Morphée Sleep Meditation Box for $85 ($15 off)

Get this one for kids. Not only is it adorable, but the meditations also take kids on journeys with an animal companion. I gave one to a friend whose daughter loves it, listening while toting it from room to room. It has the same time constraints as the adult version.

LectroFan Classic for $30 ($20 off)

If you're not in need of a guided meditation or other more involved sleep mechanism, but you need a little something to drown out the deafening silence of night, the LectroFan Classic is a great. It may come across as a simple, standard white noise machine, but it's more customizable than most. You have the choice of pink, brown, or white noise alongside fan sounds and adjustable decibel levels. Add on the 60 minute timer, and you'll be snoozing soundly in no time.

Withings Sleep Tracking Mat for $90 ($10 off)

Tracking your sleep habits can be interesting, but most of us don't want to wear something on our wrists to bed. This mat goes underneath your mattress and after a one-time calibration, it just works, so you don't have to think about anything except falling into dreamland. It detects sounds like snoring, and alerts you of any breathing disturbances that may indicate sleep apnea. When you wake up, you can check results on the connected app. The price jumped to $130 in the last month, but it's been steadily $100 before that.

Sleepme Dock Pro for $862 ($287 off)

This costs a nice chunk of change, but if you find that you're constantly fighting with the temperature, it may be worth it. You'll get a Chilisleep pad to lay on top of your mattress, and that connects to a water-pumping unit that maintains the temperature you choose between 55 and 115 degrees Fahrenheit. WIRED writer Simon Hill said the pad wasn't very comfortable, though, and the water unit is noisy. This is best saved for those who are desperate for the perfect sleep.

More Sleep DealsBuffy Wiggle Pillow for $55 ($14 off)

Body pillows are generally about the length of you or somewhat shorter. With this Wiggle pillow, I can wrap it around me, cocooning between it with my head on the top. I sleep so well squeezing this. The brand makes fuzzy covers, too, but they're currently sold out. The cover makes it feel like a teddy bear, but I like the cooling feel without it.

Brooklinen Luxe Sateen Sheets (Queen) for $134 ($45 off)

WIRED reviewer Haley Sprankle has been testing bedsheets, and these sateen ones from Brooklinen are a front-runner. She says they've got a buttery soft feel but don't heat up during the night. They also come in pretty, muted colors, and even a few patterns like a stunning kaleidoscope.

Blissy Silk Sleep Mask for $26 ($24 off)

Blissy's silk mask is cooling and comfortable, and it blocks out all the light so I can sleep in. It also comes in 38 (!!) colors and patterns. I alternate between this one and Nodpod's weighted sleep mask

Parachute Percale Sheets: 20 Percent off

WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu likes Parachute's crisp percale sheets, but the brand's linen, sateen, and cotton options are also on sale. They don't come in a set, however, so you'll have to purchase a top sheet for $64 ($16 off) and a fitted sheet for $72 ($18 off) separately—there are shams for $63 ($16 off) if you need them. If you don't sleep with a top sheet, this might be a perk for you.

Sijo Sheet Set for $140 ($35 off)

WIRED writer Jaina Grey likes Sijo's cooling sheets. She says they're silky, and keep you just warm enough without smothering you. Like the Parachute sheets above, you can choose to get just the fitted sheet, if you want.
